FAQs

Why refer?

Taking a program with peers allows you to exchange insights and expand your impact.

When you refer a colleague, both of you will receive a referral benefit. You can refer as many people as you like, and you’ll earn a tuition reduction for each colleague who joins and remains in the program.

Who can refer?

Anyone can refer a colleague to the program, but referral codes are exclusively for your peers and cannot be used for your own enrollment.

What if I am not sure that I want to take the program yet?

Many participants refer their peers to a program even before enrolling themselves. If you refer peers before signing up, you’ll receive a credit to use toward the program in the future.

Can I refer others if I've already completed the program?

Yes, you can refer peers even after completing the program. When you do, you'll receive a credit that can be applied to a future MIT Professional Education program.

How to refer?
  • Select the program you want to refer.

  • Share the generated link with your peer directly or via email.

  • Once they enroll and remain in the program, you'll receive the referral benefit.

How will I receive my benefit?
  • If you haven’t signed up for a program yet, you’ll receive a credit toward the program fee once your colleague joins and remains in the program.

  • If you’re currently enrolled, a credit will be refunded to you.

  • If you’ve completed the program, you’ll receive a credit that can be applied to a future program.
